Medical Referral Coordinator

We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in 10 areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry.
We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility.
Our more than 50 physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff.
We do our best to take care of everything for our patients - records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.
Provides an experience of efficient yet nurturing environment for patients and families.
Greets and assists patients in person or via phone.
Provides one stopA' service to patients seen by the company's Primary Care Physicians:
Delivers referrals to practitioners within the building, either by fax or inter-office mail.
Obtains referral information from practitioners and medical assistants and prepares appropriate documentation.
Inputs referral information into database and tracks through entire process.
Coordinates flow of information to and from all Clinical Associates' Referral Coordinators and the Billing Company including all follow up information.
Completes referral documentation so as to be available for patient's pick up within specified time frame.
Processes referrals using the internet and the Maryland Uniform Consultation Form(MUCF).
Completes referral process according to insurance company and process using appropriate forms/documentation.
Welcomes patient concerns and complaints and immediately reports to supervisor for timely response and follow through.
Processes insurance information according to established procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
High School diploma.
Minimum 1year related medical office experience; 2
years preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance procedures.
Basic arithmetic and money calculating skills.
Basic computer skills with a willingness and ability to learn new applications.
